MO FARAH’S protege, Jess Andrews, has done it again — and has been recognised by the man himself.
The Brunel University student, taken under the wing of the double Olympic and World champion through the Mo Farah Foundation’s academy scheme late last year, has become the Southern Counties cross-country champion, at her first attempt at senior level.
Jess, 21, of Shanklin, was running for Aldershot, Farnham and District AC when she stormed to victory at Parliament Hill, London, completing the course in 30.39, 15 seconds ahead of Miranda Heathcote, of Newquay.
The result was tweeted to the world by the foundation, and then retweeted by Farah himself, as he prepares for the Virgin London Marathon in Kenya.
Then, a few days later, he tweeted her successes from his own personal account, complete with a picture.
