DERBY County manager Gary Rowett, who grew up on the Isle of Wight, is set to sign a new deal, according to reports.

It's understood The Rams have offered Rowett a £1 million-a-year deal, following reported interest from Stoke City, who sacked Mark Hughes on Saturday.

Rowett, a former Cowes High School pupil, has led Derby to second in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

He moved to Pride Park last year after his controversial sacking from Birmingham City, who were on the verge of the play-offs at the time of his departure.
