POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a hooded gunman held up a village off-licence in daylight.
The raid happened last Tuesday at 7pm when a man entered the Wine Rack, in Petts Wood, armed with what police say may be a single-barrelled shotgun.
He threatened a female member of staff and demanded cash from the till. She handed over £100.
No shots were fired in the robbery and there were no reports of any injuries.
The man, said to be in his 40s, was seen fleeing towards the railway bridge.
He is described as white, about 5ft 7in tall, slim and wore stonewash denim jeans and a hooded green plastic Mac. He had grey stubble.
A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this man to contact police with any information that could lead to his arrest."
Detective Sergeant Mark Drew of the flying squad is heading the investigation. Contact him on 020 7232 6530.
