A NEW-LOOK Harwoods Renault IW League kicks off tomorrow (Saturday) — although teams have withdrawn before a ball has been kicked.
Last year’s Division 3 champions, St Helens, have folded, while Brighstone and Carisbrooke’s reserve sides have dropped out.
Royal Canaries, a popular name from the past, return to the league in Division 2.
Twelve teams will compete in the Island’s top tier, with 14 in Division 2.
Division 3 has been scrapped, leaving two combination leagues, which both feature ten teams each.
Clubs have also been on the move, with Northwood crossing the road to the IW Community Club from Northwood Recreation Ground.
However, they will use the recreation ground’s IW Council-run changing facilities.
Niton will play their home games at Rookley while four houses are built on the site of their old changing rooms.
New changing facilities are planned at Niton, once the houses have been completed.
Midweek matches will follow tomorrow’s fixtures.
