IT IS a shame that both games were called off this week because they were both ones that we would have been looking to win.

The 50-point mark is still our target for survival and two wins would have taken us to 51.

There are still a lot of games to be played though and we are looking forward to getting over the line as quickly as possible.

We play Croydon on Friday. They are top of the table and that isn't a game we are expected to win.

But the pressure will be on them and we will be looking to carry on our good form.

Then on Monday we have the derby with Harlow. It would be nicer to play this game under different circumstances as that would allow us to relax and enjoy it a little bit more.

I played with Ian at Arsenal between 1985 and 1987 and I have spoken to him a few times since he came to Harlow to see how things are going.

Because of their position this one is more important to them and they need the points more than us.

There is going to be a fair bit of tension about the place. Hopefully we will get a fair crowd but they might not get a great game. The state of the pitch and the occasion won't help good football.

With any derby fixture the result is all that matters, not the performance. We just want the points and I would much rather be sat in the dressing room having played badly and won than played well and lost.

I hope Harlow stay up. We want to play them every year because of what the game means to both towns and I'm sure they won't end up going down.

It is good to see Richard Day back in training and hopefully he will be back before the end of the season.

Because we aren't safe yet it might be difficult to give him any games but he will be fit by the summer.

We have used nine goalkeepers this season where most sides get away with using one or two but we have seen that the people who have come in can do a job.

We will let Craig Tucker and Richard fight it out over the summer and whoever performs best will play.Hayessays with Martin Hayes
