YOUNG golfer Albert Newman played a superb round to finish runner up in the Surrey Junior County Championship.
The nine-year-old Freshwater golfer was among the top 50 county players, aged 12 and under, aiming to win the Paul Casey Trophy at Chobham Golf Club.
The youngster, a member of Cowes and Farnham golf clubs, completed his 18-hole round with a gross score of 77 to finish tied leader.
Although he lost his play-off, Albert was happy with his display.
He received his runners-up award from Terry Casey, Paul Casey’s father.
