A LONG-STANDING post office in Fawkham will close at the end of next month.
The village stores, which has been in Fawkham Green for decades, will shut after the current postmaster handed in his notice.
Consignia, the new name for the Post Office, will also have to look for new premises when the shop closes on March 29.
Post Office rural transfer advisor Peter Wilkinson said: "We are committed to retaining easily accessible services for the loyal customers in the village.
"We are working hard with the community to restore services as quickly as possible."
A spokesman added it is possible to run post offices from churches, shops or even people's homes.
The company is keen to hear from anyone who can offer to take over.
