ATHLETICS
GB athletes Nick Percy and James Forman represented their country at the Loughborough International Games on Sunday.
Discus thrower, Nick, of Bonchurch, threw 52½ metres, his second best of the year, but still fell short of the 57-metre qualifying distance for next year’s World Junior Championships.
Nick now has two more events, starting with the Bedford International on June 9, to throw the qualifying distance, which he has achieved in training.
Sprinter James, of Gunville, won his hurdles race in 50.56, but said he was aiming for a quicker time when he competes in Belgium tomorrow (Saturday).
