Welling United have plunged to the very edge of the Dr Marten Premier League relegation zone without even kicking a ball last weekend!

Reynolds, whose side also lost 3-2 to Fisher Athletic in the Kent Senior Cup last midweek, said: "We're going to work hard and try to get things right for the home game Salisbury this Saturday. They have improved a bit recently even though they are bottom of the table.

"Every game we have must be approached with the right attitude and played as if our lives depended on it.

"I try not to give myself any added pressure. There's enough pressure as it is in the job and I can't let it show to the players.

"I have taken a lot of criticism from the fans and they are entitled to their opinions.

"But I've asked them not to give stick to the players and I'd rather them have a pop at me and keep off the players' backs as it would affect them."

Welling are only above the drop zone by virtue of the their better goal difference and Reybolds added: "The fans, like me, want the best for Welling. They know that no-one is more pasionate than me at the club.

"We need to pick up four or five wins and it's not beyond us. We need to make sure we win our home games and get some points away from home which are a bonus.

"I hope the lads will be up for it each game. Against better opposition, they have done well, but it's been the weaker teams where we have struggled.

"The players have got us in this position and they must get us out of it.

"They must show the appetite and pride as in our cup run and more glamourous fixtures in their remaining games."
