Isle of Wight darts duo in PDC UK Open

TWO top Isle of Wight darts players have made the cut for the televised PDC UK Open next month.

Keegan Brown, 21, of Newport, and Tony Broughton, 37, of East Cowes, have both won their way through to the tournament — nicknamed the FA Cup of darts — in Minehead, which will be screened on ITV between March 7 and 9.

Keegan progressed through the PDC Order of Merit rankings, with the top earners making the cut, while Tony won a qualifier in Scunthorpe, where he was up against 80 other players.
