Karen left jumping for joy

By - Friday, July 3, 2009
EQUESTRIANA CREDIT crunch purchase turned out to be a very positive buy for Chris and Karen Ledger.
Due to the recession, Karen sold her two best horses as business was quiet for chartered surveyor Chris.
To replace them she bought a cheaper horse for them to share, Incognito, a seven-year-old skewbald gelding.
Incognito has since achieved great success at several mainland shows, qualifying first time for the Royal International Horse Show in coloureds and in amateur hunters.
At the East of England Show, Karen and Icognito won and took the championship, qualifying for the Horse of the Year Show.
They then drove across country to Three Counties Show, at Malvern, where they also won and qualified for Royal International 2010.
Incognito will soon compete at the Royal Show and the International at Hickstead.
In October, he will be at the Horse of the Year Show.

Island girl is junior champ
TWELVE-year-old Victoria Leadbeter beat off competition from regional and national riders to win the junior dressage competition at this year’s Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The IW Riding Club youngster won the AmTrust Equine RWHS unaffiliated junior dressage competition.
Royal Windsor, British Riding Clubs and AmTrust Equine Insurance teamed up for the first time this year to launch the new competition.
The show itself has been running for more than 65 years and takes place in the private grounds of Windsor Castle.
On winning the championship, Victoria said her horse CB Bomber had "always been a little star".
As part of her prize, Victoria has been invited back to Windsor in August for the Alltech FEI European Jumping and Dressage Championships 2009, to collect her trophy at a televised event.
