Kyle wins again

Competitors in the IW Junior Handicap Squash Tournament.

KYLE Murchison successfully retained his IW Junior Handicap Squash Tournament title but was pushed all the way by Tim Ng.

The two big shots won their respective groups with ease, before Kyle defeated Aaron Moore in the semi-final 15-10, 15-8, and Tim beat Bradley Murray 15-11, 15-11, to book his spot.

In the final, a repeat of last year, Tim started on a handicap of -30. Kyle took advantage, winning the first game 15-4.

In the second though, he had a lead of 13-3 cut out completely as Tim fought level. But in the end Kyle pulled it out of the bag and won the second set 15-14, and the game.

In all, 32 players took part, split into eight groups of four. The group winners were Tim, Kyle, Aaron, Bradley, Ronnie Cranfield, Harry Foster, Ben Currie and Sam Moseley.

Stanley Wallace was awarded player of the tournament for his outstanding commitment and contribution on the day.
