Cobham 20 - Old Rutlishians 3.

Rutlishians unbeaten league run ended on Saturday, when second placed Cobham comprehensively outplayed them to go top of Surrey Division Two.

Although Ruts largely held their own in the set pieces the fitter Cobham pack were able to make substantial inroads as the visitors missed crucial first up tackles.

Their back row also roamed the pitch with impunity popping up in midfield on several occasions to create the overlap. Slick handling in the backs and more missed tackles led to three of Cobham's four tries. Ian Baxter's penalty was Rutlishians' only reply.

Two training sessions this week should help Rutlishians lift their game in time for Saturday's game against Merton - the only side to have beaten Cobham this season.
