CYCLING THE IW Cycling Festival continued last weekend with a host of events — with the madcap Chevy Chase leading the way.
Following on from the first Chevy Chase enduro event at Cheverton Farm earlier this year, riders took on the second event on Sunday, running to their bikes and cramming in as many laps around the carefully crafted off-road course within four hours as possible.
Riders either competed individually, in pairs or in a team.
A total of 68 riders took part, including 26 as individuals.
Like the first event, Wight Mountain’s Ben Johnson took the glory, completing 12 laps. Second was Adam Holleyman with 11 laps and third was shared between James Hunt and Kevin Farrington.
The pairs’ event was shared by the Blunder Brothers and WWGCC Project, while the team event was won by Robuck Warriors.
