Ofsted praise for Trafalgar
Good attitudes to learning, high quality teaching and academic standards well above the national average have been found at Trafalgar Junior School in Twickenham.
The inspectors praised it as a good school with a positive ethos and a commitment to high standards.
Staff and governors said they were delighted at the report.
More patrols
Richmond will get more police on patrol from this month.
The Metropolitan Police have allocated six civilian staff and an extra police inspector to cover Twickenham and Richmond. The extra staff will free up two more officers for front line policing duties.
Volunteer call
The Richmond Environmental Information Centre has vacancies for voluteers to carry out a wide range of interesting projects.
These will appeal to people with a few hours to spare either weekly or monthly.

Civic awards
Two buildings in Richmond have been named as winners of the 1998 Civic Trust Awards for environmental design.
The Meadowbank Club, Twickenham, won one of 24 awards and the Public Reords Office extension in Kew was among the 59 commendations and mentions.
