BOXING
VENTNOR boxer Aaron McHugh had one of his best performances for his club last weekend.
The youngster, 16, took part in a supporting bout at Golden Ring Southampton’s championship show, taking on Shir Khan over three two-minute rounds.
He gained a majority decision from the judges.
Meanwhile, Ventnor Boxing Club’s Darren Gutteridge and Danny Green passed their ABA assistant coaching level 1 badges, following a two-week course.
