MARTIAL arts fighter Alex Box hopes to seal his first title belt on Saturday.
Box, 24, who runs the Island’s mixed martial arts club, Vectis MMA, will fight for the amateur MMA featherweight title in Portsmouth.
The current champion, Alex Bodnar, is undefeated with five wins.
Box’s partner, Indy Briar, who also runs Vectis MMA, said: "It’s his biggest fight so far, showing the years of hard work and dedication he has put in, which have led to this title fight."
The fight will be part of the Shock N Awe show, also featuring the club’s Max Renouf, 19, who will make his debut.
Tickets for the event are still available from Vectis MMA, Sherbourne Avenue, Ryde.
