I'm writing to express my disgust at the recent article urging people to register for the right to vote ( 'Time to register to vote' Times, February 7).
Why urge people to vote? What are we voting for?
Candidates 'promise' that if you vote for them, all your problems will be solved. What a load of rubbish! Politics is a joke.
At the end of the day, you are sweet-talked into voting for them because they can create a better place for us all to live in but in fact, once they're voted in, they rarely keep to any of their promises and ultimately, they do what they like.
I won't be wasting my time at the polling station on May 2 I'd rather watch paint dry!
