SWIMMER Izabella Olesinska Blacklock has won her second gold of the World Island Youth Games this morning (Saturday).
Izzabella, 14, swam 1:10:37 to win the 100m backstroke, adding to her gold in the 50m backstroke, achieved with a personal best of 32.4 seconds, on Thursday.
The West Wight Swimming Club member also won silver in yesterday's 200m backstroke.
Speaking yesterday, Nick Popov, West Wight coach, said: "It's absolutely fantastic. We have never got any medals in swimming and now we have a gold.
"She has worked so hard, she deserves this."
Athlete Harrison Curling added to his silver in the 1,500m with a bronze in the 800m yesterday, while Tom Newnham won bronze in the steeplechase last night.
Kieran Phillips also won a bronze in the hammer.
The Games finish today.
