Well said, A Potts, Twickenham - letters January 21.

Embankment has not been an adequate word for a long time when visitors visit - so drab - so unwelcoming.

Twickenham has no big famous stores, no swimming pool (I loved as a child) it would be great as an ice rink.

Our young and mature citizens need other mobile recreations to let off steam and enjoy - without the expensive penalty of admission charged.

So how about putting forward a blue-print of a successful Twickenham and removing the stigma of `cobwebs' entirely. We could then be proud we live in Twickenham.
