A FIRST-TIME flier from Penge took a leap into the unknown to raise money for the National Asthma Campaign.
Kay Steedman, 40, of Westmoreland Terrace, made the sponsored parachute jump from 12,000ft after a leaflet from the charity, asking for volunteers with a head for heights, dropped through her door.
Since the leap, above Headcorn Airfield in Maidstone, the mum-of-four has raised £500 for the fund, which offers support and information to sufferers.
Kay told News Shopper afterwards: "It was absolutely amazing to fall through the clouds. Apparently we were dropping at 120mph but it was incredibly peaceful. Hopefully we'll raise a lot more money for the campaign."
