A BIGGIN Hill sculptor has congratulated judges in the Miss Great Britain 2002 contest for their choice of winner.
Greek-born Demetrios Economou, based in Sunningvale Avenue, selected the new beauty queen, 21-year-old ballet dancer Yana Booth, from Bexley, as inspiration for a sculpture.
He said: "In my mind, Yana has the perfect body, perfectly proportioned. I had been waiting all my life to find the right person for my sculpture.
"I congratulate the judges of the Miss Great Britain contest."
The sculpture, which will eventually be on display in Greece, is likely to be unveiled when close to completion next month.
