BANGER RACING IW BANGER racers travelled to the mainland recently to take part in a six-a-side team battle at Aldermaston Raceway.
There were three races in the event, and although the IW team — who do not have a home track — finished joint bottom, there was plenty of fun to be had for all.
In the first race, a full field of 26 cars took part, and was won by Anthony Dean, putting Team Basingstoke Boys and Team PVR in joint first.
In the second race, only 15 cars made it to the start line but there was still plenty of action to enjoy and Team PVR dominated to take an overall ten-point lead over Team Basingstoke Boys. Team IW gained their first points of the day.
Their best result came in the final race of the day when IW driver David Mounger came third overall to gain extra points and finish on seven points overall.
The IW team comprised Jamie Duff, Matt Williams, Nik Reed, Colin Brodie and Mounger.
