ICE HOCKEYTHE Wightlink Raiders thumped Cardiff ENL Devils on Saturday night to win the league for the first time since 1997.
There was a party atmosphere at the near-capacity Ryde Arena, with the Raiders putting nine past the visitors to be crowned champions of the English National League, Division 1.
The ice hockey stars scored three in each period without reply, with Alex Murray netting one in each.
Jeremy Cornish and Matt Colclough were named men of the match.
Player coach Cornish said: "This is unbelievable, the guys have worked their tails off all year for this and to finish with a performance like that is fantastic."
