Roberts goes clear

MALCOLM Roberts went four points clear at the top of the Ambassador Premier League after beating former number one, Roy Stopps, in a tense clash.

Roberts made a 32 break in a 3-2 win.

Malcolm Campbell’s good form continued with victory over Dave Young, while Keith Prowse enjoyed a real tussle with Ian Harper before claiming it in the fourth frame.

Ron Newlan pipped Terry Chiverton, 3-2, while Richard Griffiths beat Roy Prouten on the last, 61-49, as well.

Michael Kirk took a 2-0 lead against Les Masterman, but lost 3-2 after Masterman claimed the last three with scores of 76, 78 and 77.
