ATHLETICS

BOG-LIKE conditions greeted IW athletes at the Hampshire Cross-Country Championships in Eastleigh last weekend.

Despite the conditions there were still some great results for Islanders, who represented a variety of different clubs and age groups.

The top senior men were twins Tom and Joe Wade, while the top senior women were Sarah Kavanagh and Grace Crumplin.

Juniors also did well, despite the mud and rain, with Carla Plowden-Roberts, Sam Metcalf, Eden Crumplin and Ben Holdsworth all featuring highly.
