Mark Gregory, of Chertsey-based Landmark Design and Build, has been accepted onto the Marshalls Register of approved hard landscaping contractors.
The company, which counts among its more prestigious projects development landscaping at Richmond Bridge, was established by Mr Gregory 12 years ago.
Tommy Walsh, presenter on the BBC programme Ground Force, presented the certificate.
Mr Walsh said: "Consumers want to feel confident in their contractor and be assured that the job will be of a high standard. being associated with a respected name like Marshalls is a positive step."
