Seaview gets its own petanque terrain

The Seagrove Pavilion opens its new petanque terrain.

PETANQUE

A NEW petanque arena was officially opened at the Seagrove Recreation Ground, Seaview, on Saturday.

The Island’s Lord Lieutenant Maj Gen Martin White arrived for the ceremony and threw one of the first boules, alongside other residents.

The petanque area is situated next to the Seagrove Pavilion.

Pavilion trustee Kevin Berry said: "The addition of a petanque terrain was included within the original scope for the pavilion site and additional funding has now realised the final part of the plans for the site. Petanque will be a great addition."
