After last week's draw manager Mark Peach changed his team around for this encounter with rival title contenders William Morris.

He got the result he wanted with a convincing win.

One change was to push midfielder Lee Boorman up front, to partner striker Jamie Frost, and the pairing tore Morris apart.

Dragon opened the scoring when Mark Horsfield and Viran Amin combined to set up Boorman, who shot home from close range.

Both teams then played the ball around well in difficult conditions.

Morris equalised when a striker got the better of Dragon's defenders, and slotted the ball past keeper Mick McFadzean.

Morris's young team kept Dragon's back four on their toes with defenders Jeff Hoy, Anthony Slavin and Darren Sherwin making good interceptions to keep the attack at bay.

Captain Chris Durrant's good run into Morris's area was rewarded when he crossed to Jamie Frost, whose shot was saved by the keeper only to rebound to Boorman, who turned his marker and shot home.

Rees Frost had a good chance to make it three when he latched onto a Horsfield through ball only for his shot to be well saved.

In the second half Dragon went for the kill. To make the game safe Boorman completed his hat-trick.

He ran onto a defence-splitting pass by Horsfield and shot past Morris's keeper.

Morris got another goal when a striker shot through a packed area and gave Mick McFadzean no chance.

But any chance of a comeback was soon quashed, as Dragon took control.

Boorman got his fourth goal of the game when, after a neat one-two with Jamie Frost, he slotted past the keeper.

By now it was all Dragon, as Morris's youngsters ran out of ideas and started panicking at the back.

Left-back Steve Horsfield's run and cross was met by Rees Frost, who gave the keeper no chance with his shot.

Viran Amin then had a one-on-one with the keeper, only for his shot to be saved. Man-of-the-match Lee Boorman got his fifth from close range after Jamie Frost won the ball from a defender by the corner flag and sent him an accurate cross.

Mark Horsfield and Rees Frost controlled things in the middle of the park, playing the ball around beautifully for wide men Chris Durrant and Viran Ali to run onto. It was through one such run that Dragon made it seven.

Frost combined with Durrant, who crossed for Jamie Frost. Frost held the ball up, then released it to Boorman, who scored his sixth goal of the game.

Near the end manager Mark Peach put on Alan Steadman, Kiran Amin and Kojo, who all did well.

The win kills of William Morris's chance of winning the league.

Manager Mark Peach was pleased with his team's performance: "Our running and passing was back to its best, and proved what a good team we are."
