HUSBAND and wife archers, Lee and Tina Grace, stole the show at the Hampshire County and Open Championships.
In the first day’s 18m FITA competition, Lee won the men’s compound class, posting scores of 563 and 565, and setting Hampshire records for the single score and combined.
Tina, who has only been shooting for just over a year, won the ladies’ barebow, with scores of 352 and 373, setting a Hampshire record for the combined total.
In the second day’s Portsmouth competition, Lee won the men’s compound again, with scores of 580 and 587, a PB and club record. Tina also won the ladies’ barebow with scores of 462 and 425, a PB and club record for the single round.
The couple, from Bembridge, are members of the Wight Bowmen.
Lee, who used to be a county champion and county team member when he lived in Buckinghamshire, said: "I’d done well in the outdoor championships earlier in the year and then we decided to have a go indoors. I thought I might have half a chance.
"I was so proud of Tina for how well she did. She was in some pretty good company, in fact she was shooting next to someone from the Brazilian Olympic recurve team."
