Isle of Wight cricketer Danny Briggs took a wicket on his England.
ISLE of Wight cricketer Danny Briggs made a successful England Twenty20 debut at Edgbaston last night (Wednesday).
The left-arm spinner took 1-16 in two overs in an 11-over rain-delayed thrash as England won to level the series.
This morning (Thursday), Briggs, 21, and the rest of the England squad flew out to Sri Lanka for the World 20-20 Cup.
England have warm-up games against Australia and Pakistan before the cup begins against Afghanistan next Friday.
