The pressure group HACAN ClearSkies established a fighting fund to pay for the test case and received support from the public and Richmond Council, which pledged £5,000 to the cause.
The hearing will take place on Tuesday.
scout award: Twickenham's district scout commissioner Robin Corti was recently awarded the Silver Acorn in recognition of
his service and dedication
to the scouting movement.
Mr Corti who joined Whitton Scout Group as an assistant scout leader in 1980 worked his way through
the ranks to become
district commissioner in 1993.
time exhibition: An
exhibition of contemporary and modern art entitled Time Flies is to be staged at the Harrodian School Gallery in Barnes.
The theme of the exhibition, which includes work from recent art graduates, is the passage of time and its effect on nature and humanity.
It opens from noon to 5pm from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21.
wetland advertising: An advertising campaign has been launched to mark the countdown to the opening of the Wetland Centre in Barnes.
The adverts contrast the grittiness of urban life with public perceptions of wildlife and the tranquillity of the wetland centre.
The centre opens to the public on May 26.
