Two-goal Eddie Akuamoah and Amara Simba were the heroes for Ks, as more than 7,000 fans from Kingston witnessed the occasion.
It could have been different for Ks, as Kettering overturned a 1-0 deficit to take the lead through skipper Craig Vowden and a debatable penalty from Craig Norman, after Tarkan Mustafa was adjudged to have felled Brett McNamara.
However, television replays ruled that the Kettering full-back had fallen over his feet.
But back came Ks to level through Akuamoah's smart finish. And 15 minutes from the end French ace Amara Simba notched the winner with a subtle chip off a post, after Mustafa fine run and shot was spilled by Kettering keeper Adam Solitt.
