TRAVELCARD holders are now entitled to a discount on Thames riverboat services.
The announcement was made by Mayor of London Ken Livingstone as he opened the new £5m pier at Westminster.
The scheme started on Sunday, May 20, and gives card holders one-third off fares. Mr Livingstone said: “It is the first time the Thames riverboat services have been integrated in any way with the Travelcard. I hope and expect this scheme will attract many more passengers onto the riverboats.”
Westminster Millennium Pier is part of the Thames 2000 initiative to improve services on the river.
