AN INDIAN restaurant was evacuated last night (Sunday) after fire broke out in the kitchen.
Five appliances were called to the Maharajah Tandoori Restaurant in Shanklin High Street shortly after 5pm.
Crews battled the fire for around three hours and properties next to the restaurant also had to be evacuated.
There were no casualties.
