The programme, which will be screened at 4.30pm, will explain and demonstrate the five aspects of the gruelling event and other Blackheath athletes will also be in the background showing would-be athletes how to warm up and also demonstrating various events.

Meanwhile, on the track, the Harriers have had a busy but successful start to the season.

The womens' team started its Southern League programme with a narrow win in an absorbing match against St Albams where the young squad set a number of personal bests.

The following day at Norman Park the boys gained an excellent second place in the opening round of the McDonald's Young Athletes League. Star performer was Brendan Early, who won the under 15s 400m and beat his personal best time of last year by a full six seconds.

And at the British Universities Championships held at Stoke On Trent Emeka Udechuku smashed the 30 year championship record in the discus with a throw of 56.82m and also won the shot-putt event.

On Saturday, both the club's senior and Southern League teams had wins in their opening match at Norman Park where the Division Five team were in outstanding form scoring a possible 163 points out of 180.

And on Sunday the Kent Boys and Colts League team were in equally impressive form winning their opening match against Deangate by a massive 160 points.
