A MAN admitted coming to Watford armed with a screwdriver, with the intention of stealing from shops.
Nigel Innocent, 34, from Greenford, pleaded guilty at Watford Magistrates Court to stealing T-shirts from JD Sports in the High Street, going equipped to steal.
The court heard he had been chased by shop staff and then police officers and had admitted the theft.
Officers followed him to his car and arrested him as he drove along Wiggenhall Road. He was alson charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insuirance.
Innocent from Greenford pleaded guilty to all offences and was remanded in custody for pre sentence reports.
