Carshalton Athletic slipped back into the Ryman Premier's relegation dogfight on Saturday after losing 3-1 at home to Walton and Hersham.

The Robins were comprehensively beaten at Colston Avenue despite Richard Newbury scoring his fifth goal in his last seven outings and now face a renewed relegation battle with just three points after defeat left them just three points clear of the drop zone. With the league's other strugglers picking up points over the weekend, Carshalton face a test of character at Gravesend and Northfleet this Saturday.
