Police are looking for witnesses after a savage assault which left a 23-year-old man with his jaw fractured in three places and a broken palate on April 29.
The attack happened sometime between 1am and 2.30am while the Sutton man was waiting near Options nightclub in Clarence Street after a night out with friends.
After they left the last thing he remembers is waiting for a cab. At some stage he was beaten so badly he had to be taken to St Helier's hospital where he was operated upon. He has since been allowed home.
"It's quite unusual that he had a fractured jaw because the jaw doesn't break that easily - so that shows the ferocity of it," said DC Don Mackintosh.
