CHILDREN at Slade Green Infant School were given a rush last week when a rising television star opened a new classroom.
Ex-pupil Jason Taylor, who now stars in the Channel 4 drama, Rush, opened the unit for hearing-impaired children. The actor cut the ribbon after all the children had taken part in a series of songs and dances to celebrate the opening.
The new unit will be able to help children who have hearing problems use the latest equipment to benefit their education.
