TWO people trapped in their cars following an accident near Wootton were freed by crews of the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service last night (Monday).

Emergency services were called to a two-car collision outside Park Farm on Park Road at around 9.40pm.
Police said a Peugeot 308 and a Mazda MX-5 were involved.
"Three people were taken to St Mary's Hospital. Two were reported to have suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries," a police spokesman said.
The fire service sent a duty officer and pumps from Newport and Ryde to the accident scene.
Two people trapped in their vehicles were freed by firefighters and were, along with the third casualty, taken by ambulance to St Mary's Hospital, Newport.
The accident happened in icy conditions on a stretch of road untreated by gritters, a fire and rescue service spokesperson said.
Traffic was diverted from the area until the road was cleared.
