AFTER knowing each other as teenagers, Scott Armiger and Vanessa Walmsley met again years later in Cowes — and that led to their wedding at Northwood House.
The bridegroom, a boatbuilder at the RNLI, is the son of Mr and Mrs David Armiger, of Broadsmith Avenue, East Cowes. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Walmsley, of Medina View, East Cowes.
The bride wore an ivory taffeta fishtail dress with clear crystal detailing by Romantica and a silver and crystal tiara and carried a bouquet of pink stargazer lilies and cerise gerbera.
She was attended by Sophie Walmsley (bride’s sister), Kelly Yates (bridegroom’s sister), who wore black dresses with cerise waistbands and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet, Caitlin Armiger (bride’s daughter), Ella Yates (niece) and family friend Libby Humphries, who wore cerise dresses with corsages. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Pageboys Josh Armiger (bride’s son), Archie and Dane Armiger (bridegroom’s sons), Mason Rowsell, Harvey Rowsell and Callum Yates (nephews) wore black suits with silver waistcoats and cerise cravattes. Best men were Jamie Armiger (bridegroom’s brother) and Lee Gascoigne (cousin).
A reception was held at the Camp Hill Club, Newport, and the honeymoon was spent in Benidorm, Spain.
