Ash-Ash wedding
GAS engineer and punk band guitarist Glyn Ash married council employee and tap dancing fan Sally Jane Ash at St Mildred’s Church, Whippingham.

The bridegroom is the son of Kathleen Ash, of Harry Cheek Gardens, Northwood, and the late Mr Melvyn Ash.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Brian Ash, of Greenlands Road, East Cowes.

The bride wore an off-white satin gown embroidered with diamante and beads and a diamante and pearl tiara.

She carried a bouquet of purple lisianthus, lavender, sweet peas and freesia.

She was attended by Martha Ash, eight, (couple’s daughter) and Rhiain Lyne (bride’s goddaughter), who wore purple satin three-quarter length dresses with net underskirts. They carried corsages of white freesia.

Pageboy was Oliver Ash, four, (couple’s son), who wore a silver waistcoat and tie to match his father’s.

Best men were Dee Holmes, Jonny Barker and Martin Hillier with Andy Flood and Gary Anthill acting as ushers.

The Rev Val Hards officiated.

A reception was held at Osborne Golf Club and the honeymoon was spent in Egypt.
