A COUPLE who met through friends at the pub, Joseph Wilson Baker and Margaret Mary Edwards, were married at the IW Register Office, while the bride’s granddaughter, Scarlett Bax, sang throughout the ceremony.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Joseph Baker, of Leytonstone, London, and the bride is the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Downey, of Perry Barr, Birmingham.
The bride wore a sleeveless navy dress with pink polkadots and a tiered skirt and a matching pink jacket and scarf, with a large-brimmed cream and black hat. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream roses.
She was attended by Dawn Stevens and Beverley Bax (bride’s daughters), Melissa Baker (bridegroom’s daughter) and Diane Smith.
Deputy registrar Dawn McGovern officiated.
A reception was held at the bride’s daughter, Dawn’s house, at Lake.
