A COUPLE who met while working at Blackgang Chine, Roy Baker and Carole Ann Wilson, were married in a civil ceremony at Northwood House, Cowes.
The bridegroom, a musician, is the son of Mrs Edith Baker, of Chessington, Surrey, and the late Roy Baker.
The bride, an accounts secretary, is the daughter of Mrs Mavis Wilson, of Perowne Way, Sandown, and the late Mr William Wilson.
The bride wore a strapless, antique A-line gown in pearl duchess satin, with hand beading and gold-threaded floral embroidery, decorated with diamante and pearls. She also wore a matching crystal and pearl tiara and carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses, lilac freesia, lisianthus and eryngium.
She was attended by Christina Wilson (bride’s daughter) and Jessica and Elizabeth Wilson (bride’s nieces).
Best man was Paul Baker (bridegroom’s brother).
A reception was held at the Glenbrook Hotel, Shanklin, followed by a honeymoon in Spain.
