SKIPTON in Yorkshire was the setting for the wedding of Stephen John Basill and Debbie Yvonne Harris.
The bride had visited Haworth and the Dales 35 years ago on a school holiday and always vowed to return.
As the couple were not attended by friends or family, two witnesses were provided by the local British Heart Foundation.
The bridegroom, a valeter and driver, is the son of Mrs Nancy Basill, of Sandown Road, Lake, and the late Mr John Basill. The bride, a dental nurse, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Keith Warne, of Alvington Road, Carisbrooke.
The bride wore a purple, full-length classic gown with a halter neckline, complemented with an ivory fur bolero. She wore a small, butterfly diamante tiara and carried a bouquet of cream rose buds, highlighted with crystals and pearls which she made herself.
A reception was held at The Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, Lancaster, followed by a honeymoon touring the Yorkshire Dales.
