A COUPLE who met when they were children at a grammar school in west Yorkshire, Andrew Beckwith and Gemma Louise Bridgestock, were married at Albert Cottage in East Cowes.
The bridegroom, a web graphic designer, is the son of Mr and Mrs Ian Beckwith, of Airedale Drive, Shelf, West Yorkshire. The bride, an investigative support officer for West Yorkshire Police, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Bob Bridgestock Bridan, of The Mall, Lake Hill, Sandown.
The bride wore a classic strapless dress with Swarovski crystals and pearl decoration and an ivory flower head-dress with pearl decoration. She carried a bouquet of ivory flowers, including roses, with a splash of orange.
She was attended by Samantha Bridgestock (bride’s sister), who wore an orange ruby prom-style strapless dress and carried ivory flowers, including roses, with a splash of orange.
Adam Pickles was best man.
Deputy superintendent registrars Sharon Crews and Jan Phillimore officiated.
A reception was held at Albert Cottage, East Cowes, and the couple will honeymoon in The Maldives in September.
