NATALIE Silvester arrived at Newport Minster in an Alvis Silver Eagle vintage car, driven by her uncle, for her wedding to Kevin Blackburn.
The bridegroom, a mechanic, is the son of Mr Mark Blackburn, of Buckbury Lane, Newport, and Mrs Tracey Woodford, of Whitehouse Cross, Porchfield.
The bride, a beauty student and shop worker, is the daughter of Mr Malcolm Silvester, of Cosham, Portsmouth, and Mrs Sharon Silvester, of Home Meade, Newport.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown, with a lace-up corset, a gold and crystal tiara and a waist-length ivory veil, decorated with crystal droplets. She carried a bouquet of coral calla lilies, champagne roses, bear grass threaded with crystals and clematis greenery.
She was attended by Jessie Maartens, Danni Scott, Hannah Barnes and Gemma Hopkins, who wore coral-coloured, knee-length shift dresses, trimmed with ivory sashes, and carried bouquets of coral and champagne roses.
The best man was Daniel Blackburn (bridegroom’s brother) and the ushers were Sam Darroll and Nick Prangnell.
The Rev Janet Hallam officiated.
Following a reception at Rookley Country Park, the couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.
