THEO Nicholas Botha and Kay Frances Cronin were married in a small, intimate ceremony at the IW Register Office, Newport, where the witnesses to the signing of the register were the couple’s paternal grandmothers, Mrs Connie Cronin and Mrs June Dobson.
The bridegroom, a sales director, is the son of Mr Dave Botha, of Chale, and Mrs Jenny Rudling, of Calbourne.
The bride, a Pilates and fitness instructor currently working in event management, is the daughter of Mr Robert Cronin, of Yarmouth, and Mrs Karen Cronin, of Cowes.
The bride wore a strapless, straight-cut, white satin dress with cultured pearl jewellery. She carried a bouquet of red, white and blue flowers.
She was attended by Jenny Bridges (bride's sister), who wore a navy blue, knee-length dress embellished with Swarovski crystals, and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Claire Moore, a professional singer and fiancee of Jack Cronin (bride’s brother), sang The Rose, by Amanda McBroom, during the ceremony.
Registrar Sharon Crews officiated.
Following the family ceremony, the couple plan to host a bigger wedding party in the future.
They honeymooned in the West Country and will live in Louisiana, USA.
