THE trial of a couple accused of murdering a 30-year-old man and putting his body in a car boot has been halted.
The jury were told Frank Sullivan and Michelle Ballion would be tried at a later date. The judge at Maidstone Crown Court said it was not possible to give them a reason.
The pair, formerly of West Hill Rise, Dartford, deny murdering Bryn Davies, who went missing in December 1999.
They have also pleaded not guilty to stealing £50,000 and jewellery from him and to preventing the burial of his body. Their trial began on January 17.
Mr Davies was found in the boot of a car four months after he disappeared.
Sullivan, aged 35, and Ballion, aged 31, were remanded in custody while they wait to hear when a new date will be fixed.
