ALTHOUGH the speaker, Mrs L Hills had to rush away due to illness in the family, she gave members a delightful demonstration of Encaustic Art.
She made the whole process look very easy and left her equipment for members to try to make pictures.
After some initial hesitation several members tried to achieve something like the quality she had demonstrated. We came to the conclusion however, that one has to have artistic talents to achieve anything remotely near her work.
The next meeting is on February 18 at 2pm at the Greenwood Centre and will feature Mr W Macdonald who will be talking about the History of Spectacles. Visitors are always welcome.
