Harding-Thomas wedding
ROMANCE blossomed after a couple talked tomatoes.

Ian David Harding and Natacha Thomas were in a group of friends, who were discussing tomato plants and had dinner using the crop. They say they got together "over horror movies and gin".

The Rev James Martin conducted the service at St Michael’s Church, Aldershot, Hampshire.

The bridegroom, a software engineer, is the son of Mr and Mrs David Harding, of New Road, Brighstone. The bride, a civil servant, is the daughter of Mr Edward Thomas, of Stalbridge Road, Crewe, Cheshire, and Mrs Ruth Lawton, of Davenport Street, Crewe.

The bride wore a lace dress decorated with pearls and sequins, complete with corset-back with pink ribbon and pink waistband. She wore a crystal and pearl tiara with ribbon-edged veil. Her bouquet had pink roses, peonies, cream freesias and bougainvillea.

She was attended by Victoria Collins, Stacey Rutter and Gemma Thomas (bride’s sisters), who carried smaller bouquets to match the bride’s, and Sophia Rutter and Madison Thomas (bride’s nieces), who carried bouquets of cream gerberas.

They all wore chocolate brown and pink-accented satin dresses.

Pageboy was Harvey Thomas-Woods (bride’s nephew), who wore a dinner suit with brown cravat and cummerbund.

Best man was Derek Rowell and ushers were Robert Harding (bridegroom’s brother) and Denise Nicholson.

The Rev James Martin officiated.

A reception was held at the Alton House Hotel, Alton, Hampshire, where the bride gave a speech. The honeymoon was spent touring Europe by train.
